What-cabinets-look-like-after-kitchen-remodelingKitchen Updates On Modest Funds

You don’t need a big budget to refresh your kitchen. When you hear the term “kitchen remodeling,” you might think of a complete gut job but it doesn’t always have to be that way. You can do a few small changes to your kitchen in order to give it a new look you want at a price you can afford. Here are a few kitchen remodeling ideas that can be completed on a small budget.

Refresh Cabinets

In the kitchen, cabinets take more wall and floor space than anything else. Old and worn-looking cabinets will bring the whole kitchen down. As long as the cabinets function and are laid out nicely, you don’t really have to buy new ones. You can simply refresh the cabinets you have! The most budget-friendly way is to take the drawers and doors off and simply paint or stain them in a new, fresh color. Or you can replace the doors and drawers with something new if you have a little more to spend.

Cover Counters

You may not have the money for all new marble countertops, but that doesn’t mean you have to stick with your old, worn counters. Cost-effective, laminated countertops give you a solid surface look. You can choose from many colors and patterns to get you closer to something that looks like marble or granite if that’s what you are aiming for.

Add A Backsplash

Sometimes all a kitchen needs is a stunning focal point and a backsplash can do just that. You can run it along the whole kitchen wall between the cabinets or maybe in a few places like between the stove and the kitchen hood or the sink and the window. The backsplash can bring several colors together in the room or add a pop of color.

Cabinet Pulls

If your cabinets look okay, get some new pulls and knobs for them to give the kitchen an updated look. Oil-rubbed, bronze pulls go with just about any other color you have in the space. Go for black or silver, if you want a modern look.
