We know that the 9 steps for the design/build project are greatly simplified and that you will have many questions. Here are some of the most common ones that we receive.

How long does it take to design my project?
The time needed to design your project can range from weeks to several months. The design phase to remodel your powder room might be relatively short, whereas the development of architectural concepts and drawings for a major renovation or addition can take several months and meetings to fine tune every detail and select the appropriate construction materials and finishes. At points along the way, the budget is reviewed to assure that the design is still compatible with the planned investment in the home.

What will my project cost?
Again, this depends on the size of your project, but more importantly, it depends on the quality of the finish materials you choose. Cabinets, counters, flooring and trim can impact the budget more than any other item.

Will we have to move out of our home during the construction?
No, not unless you want to. Most of our clients choose to live in their homes during the construction process. We excel at working in your home while you are living there. We make every accommodation possible and work hard to keep you as comfortable as we can during the project. You will also find our team to be very conscientious and professional at all times.

Do we need a building permit?
The answer to this question is almost always "yes." Any project that requires electrical, mechanical, plumbing or structural work requires a municipal building permit. We handle all aspects of acquiring the necessary permits and coordinating inspections.

What size projects are you able to handle?
We have worked on projects of all sizes - from a small bathroom remodel to a $700,000+ whole-house remodel with a large addition. Our team is capable of handling all of your remodeling needs.

Can we see examples of your work?
As much as we would like to, we can't walk you through our clients' private homes. However, we are eager to show you a portfolio of our projects, with many before and after pictures that we think you will find helpful.
